Relying on motivation alone to conquer a goal is setting yourself up for failure.
Today I’m going to explain why, and give you an actionable strategy to overcome this and accomplish more than you ever thought you possibly could.
Let me ask you a question – have you ever set yourself a goal and at the time of setting that goal, felt like nothing in the world was going to hold you back from accomplishing it? Maybe it was losing 20 pounds, or making money on the Internet?
I’ve worked a lot with Dan Kennedy over the past few years, and own all his books. I think he’s a wonderful teacher and love to apply his theories to my business.
One of his methodologies that I find particularly important are his rules of direct response marketing. In his book, ‘No B.S. Direct Marketing’ he gives 10 Rules to follow as a temporary measure to grow a business. He says you can break the rules once you’ve got into the habit of implementing them and start to experiment, but these are great jumping off points to try when you first start out, and are even good to remember as you grow. Once implemented, they can form the foundation of your whole model, so they’re important to try. Continue reading
I’ve been pretty busy with the blog this week, but I have some more awesome news! I’m starting a WebTV show!
Every week I’m going to be getting in front of the camera to talk about what’s working for me right now, in life, business, internet marketing and all that awesome stuff. I spend a lot of my time learning new strategies, taking risks, and I want to share what I learn in weekend webisodes, like the one above.
If you’d like to be updated each week on when the next Web TV episode is released, subscribe to my blog, or my youtube channel.
A lot of people I’ve spoken to recently from my membership programs have been saying they find it incredibly difficult to make decisions about their sales page and advertising copy. They write great copy and then find the conversion rates to be low and are confused as to why.
I did some research and looked at my own copy and realized there are a lot of great tactics that improve conversions that I can share.
Split testing your ads and sales page copy is a great way to learn more about your customers, improve your business model, optimize your campaigns and know which ads are giving you the best results. You should be using the top free resource to analyze your site and ads: Google Analytics. Analytics is free, easy to set up and tells you how many hits your sales pages are getting, how long the site was visited for and where the hits came from. Continue reading
I’ve been thinking a lot about success lately…why do certain people continue to hit their goals and seemingly accomplish more in life, while others simply fall short?
Over the course of my life I’ve developed several habits that I know have been a huge contributor to my success both online and offline.
I truly believe that you can accomplish anything that you want in life – whether that’s make a billion dollars, lose 50 pounds, travel the world, get out of debt or just be happy.
Developing positive habits changes your life dramatically and for the better. Positive habits enable you to consciously and deliberately accomplish anything you want in life
I’ve put together a list of 5 habits that I use in my own life that have helped me to achieve anything that I have put my mind too. Continue reading
Check out the video below.. Russell Brunson and I talk about how he got started online selling an information product on how to make a potato gun.
Russell also talks about his latest webinar that teaches you how to make money by being an “offline consultant”.
This is REALLY cool because as you probably know this is actually how I first got started making money ‘online’.
The best part is:
You don’t need a website..
You don’t need a list..
You don’t even need a product..
If you’re interested in learning more check our Russells webinar:http://dcswebinar.com/w/248
Using these techniques led me to earn over $6,000 a month while still in university in just three weeks time.
I don’t say this lightly and all hype aside, I really believe that the strategies Russell teaches on the webinar are the easiest methods to get started making ‘passive’ income.
I’ve personally flown to Russells offices (featured above) and seen the product as well as met his dedicated support staff – it’s a very good webinar!
Okay …turbulence on the plane! Afraid wireless is going to cut out so I’ll leave it at that and update you when I get to Melbourne
To your success
P.s I didn’t end up going on the marketers cruise. I’ve already been in Vegas for Affiliate Summit, then l Boise, Idaho to visit Russell and then in January to Austin, Texas to check out Ryan Deiss Traffic and Conversion Summit..now I’m on my way to Melbourne. As much as I would have liked to check out the cruise I’ve lerned there is such a thing as TOO much traveling!
Once again I’m back in Canada briefly between two big trips! Last week I was down in Austin, Texas attending a conference, meetings, and most importantly, catching up with friends!
I went out to my first-ever NCAA college basketball game on Monday night with my good friend Rudy Garza and saw the Longhorns take on Missouri at home, courtside! I didn’t really know what to expect going into it, but I was absolutely blown away with the atmosphere! Even though Texas lost, albeit by only a single point, the crowd was wild from start to finish!
Incidentally, Austin, Karin and I all went out to an NBA game the following night back in Toronto. Sadly, the Raptors didn’t put up much of a fight against the Atlanta Hawks and fans started to take off at the beginning of the 4th quarter…very disappointing… come on Toronto! Have some heart!!!
Once again, I’m heading back Down Under! This Sunday I leave for over two weeks in Australia where I’ll attend another conference and then I’ll be leading my first seminar in Melbourne on the 18th. Amazingly, we’ve sold out all of the spots already, and depending on how everything goes, we might run more of these in the future:
Stay tuned for videos from us!!!
That’s all for now!
